In October, we shared the news that Kusshi Sushi had officially secured the space previously occupied by the well-loved Sushi Damo at 36G Maryland Ave in Rockville Town Square. Sushi Damo, a pioneer tenant of Rockville Town Square, permanently closed its doors on October 1st.
Co-owner Wesley Yao has informed us that construction is scheduled to commence in mid-January, with the restaurant aiming for a grand opening by the conclusion of Spring 2024. Kusshi Sushi, already boasting additional locations in MoCo such as Pike & Rose and Downtown Silver Spring, as well as in Arlington Pentagon Row and Tysons Pike 7 Plaza in Northern VA, is gearing up for an extensive renovation. The restaurant is currently awaiting final approvals, and the process has been progressing smoothly thus far.
