The Corner Slice in Bethesda Shuts Its Doors

The Corner Slice, a mainstay at 7901 Norfolk Dr. in Bethesda, has closed. Readers have noted that the restaurant has been closed for a few weeks and our phone calls have gone unanswered since the start of the month. A sign has now been put in the window stating that Corner Slice is “out of business” according to Robert Dyer.

The Corner Slice is one of the local places that has been described as “the closest thing to NY” by many readers through the years. We don’t have an exact opening date, but many are remember the restaurant being there since the early/mid 2000s.

The Corner Slice website remains active as of March 16th: “The Corner Slice is your local stop for the best New York style pizza in Bethesda, MD. We combine the freshest ingredients with our family secret recipe. Add to that our handcrafted dough and traditional baking style to offer the most authentic New York pizza in town. From the traditional to the exotic, you’ll love our hand-tossed pies. Dine in, carry out, or order for delivery–you’ll enjoy fantastic pizza served with a smile. A slice for one or pies for a hundred, we serve all!
