Pike El Diamante Bar, Grill, and Lounge has recently opened its doors at 4906 St. Elmo Ave in Bethesda, introducing itself as a vibrant addition to the culinary scene with a focus on South American cuisine, as noted on Google.
This establishment replaces the former Mandi Mediterranean, which had a brief stint from December 2023 before closing down within a few months. Mandi prided itself on offering Arabic-inspired dishes alongside a diverse range of Mediterranean delights like kabobs, as indicated on its Facebook page.
Prior to Mandi, the space was occupied by the longstanding Bangkok Garden, a fixture in the community for almost 40 years until its closure in August 2021. Despite the Google listing still pointing to Mandi Mediterranean’s website, initial window signage teased a tantalizing menu featuring tacos, churrascos, pupusas, quesadillas, and shrimp salad.
