MASTIHA Bakery at 2387 Lewis Ave. in Rockville has closed. MASTIHA opened its Rockville location in April 2023 after relocating from 10560 Metropolitan Ave. in Kensington, where it was formerly known as Baklava Couture.
The bakery has announced its decision to shift focus to its MASTIHA Taverna brand, which is slated to open a new location at Union Market in Washington, DC. MASTIHA will also maintain its presence as a vendor at the Pike Central Farmers Market every Saturday at Pike & Rose.
In June 2023, MASTIHA introduced MASTIHA Taverna, a food truck stationed in front of the bakery that specializes in pita sandwiches, Greek desserts, and various small bites and sides.
Full announcement: “We are excited to announce the next chapter! Our stay in Rockville is unfortunately ending sooner than expected. We are putting all our energy into our Taverna brand and its new location opening in Union Market next month + future locations near you.
You can still find us every weekend at the Bethesda + Pike & Rose Farmers markets.
Thank you for your continued loyalty and enthusiasm. Your support drives us to bring you the best with every step we take. We’re thrilled to have you with us on this journey!
Kindly note:
Our Rockville location is permanently closed.”
