Sunflower Bakery, situated at 5951 Halpine Road in Rockville, has revealed the introduction of its inaugural line of donuts on National Donut Day, which falls on Friday, June 7th. Operating as a nonprofit organization, Sunflower Bakery focuses on training young adults with learning differences for careers within the food industry.
According to the bakery, “Sunflower donuts are crafted fresh in-house and are free of eggs, nuts, dairy, and are kosher-certified. For the launch, the bakery will extend a warm welcome to members of the law enforcement community and offer a variety of donut flavors, including Honey Glazed, Chocolate Dipped, Cinnamon Sugar, Raspberry filled, Lemon filled, and Boston Cream, with additional flavors slated for introduction in the near future.“
