Fantasticks, a customizable gelato bar and pop shop, is set to open its second Maryland location in Downtown Silver Spring, according to a report by Source of the Spring. The new dessert spot will occupy the space at 915 Ellsworth Dr., previously home to Starbucks until the end of March.
Fantasticks already has a location at Rio Lakefront, which opened in 2021, and previously operated another Maryland location within Manhattan Pizza in Frederick that has since closed. Additionally, the brand has two Virginia locations at One Loudoun and Clarendon.
Fantasticks offers a unique dessert experience, allowing customers to choose their toppings, cover their ice cream bar in chocolate, and add a drizzle. Gelato in a cup is also available, with a variety of customizable toppings.
