In December, we announced that Nash & Smash, a restaurant specializing in Nashville hot chicken sandwiches, fried chicken, smash burgers, and more, would soon be coming to Montgomery County. Construction began this spring, and now permanent signage is up at the restaurant, according to a photo sent to us by My Dad’s Chips, who was making a delivery at the nearby Santucci’s Deli.
The new restaurant, located at 10121 Colesville Rd in the Woodmoor Shopping Center, will be the first Nash & Smash in Montgomery County. It is taking over the space most recently occupied by Subway, situated between Bento and Woodmoor Cleaners. An opening date has yet to be announced.
The Virginia-based restaurant group has recently opened locations in Ellicott City and Laurel in Maryland, as well as in Manassas, Herndon, and Ashburn in Virginia. Nash & Smash has confirmed that its menu is halal. The group has been actively seeking to expand in the DC Metro area, including DC, Maryland, and Virginia, over the past year.
According to commercial real estate company Rappaport, “Nash & Smash keeps the menu simple: Nashville-style fried chicken sandwiches and smash-burgers along with creative sides and drinks. What makes this concept extra special is the use of locally sourced, high-quality ingredients, making Nash & Smash a true farm-to-table dining experience.”
