Kapow Buddy, a new Thai restaurant specializing in “Bowl Style” Thai cuisine, is set to open soon at Montgomery Mall. The restaurant will occupy the space previously held by Butter Me Up in the Old Navy Wing on the lower level of the mall.
Formerly serving breakfast sandwiches, Butter Me Up closed after less than a year in the former Aroma Espresso Bar space.
Kapow Buddy, owned by Kalie Buddy, is awaiting a specific opening date but has already planned to offer alcohol alongside its dining options. The restaurant has a hearing scheduled with Montgomery County’s Alcoholic Beverage Services (ABS) on Thursday, June 20th at 9:30am.
The menu at Kapow Buddy features “Thai Street Bowls” priced at $11.50 according to their website, along with various Thai “street snacks” ranging from $8 to $12. You can visit their website here for more details.
