Andy’s Pizza has recently opened its first location in Montgomery County, situated at 4600 East West Highway in Bethesda, the former site of Booeymonger sandwich shop. During the opening week, Mr. MoCo visited to show support and indulge in a few slices from one of the newest establishments in the county.
The pizza dough at Andy’s undergoes a 72-hour cold ferment and is baked in a New York deck oven, resulting in a crispy crust with a chewy interior and a hint of sour flavor. Apart from pizza, Andy’s offers a menu that includes salads, wings, fries, and more. Notably, Andy’s Pizza secured the 1st place in the International Pizza Challenge™ in 2021, a renowned pizza-making competition in North America known for its prestige and substantial prize money.
