Toosso Pakistani Kitchen’s Rockville restaurant has shut down.

Toosso Pakistani Kitchen recently announced the closure of its Rockville restaurant situated in Loehmann’s Plaza, marking the end of an 8-year presence. The eatery had originally been located at 1596 Rockville Pike, adjacent to the former Pizza CS and Fuddrucker’s establishments. Relocation became necessary due to the development of Twinbrook Quarter, leading to its reopening at 5290 Randolph Rd in November 2020.

Addressing their community through social media, Toosso Pakistani Kitchen expressed gratitude for eight years of service and extended an invitation to its Sterling, Virginia location, located at 20921 Davenport Drive, Sterling VA 20165. The message conveyed appreciation for the patronage and camaraderie that contributed to the restaurant’s success.

The closure aligns with redevelopment plans for Loehmann’s Plaza, envisioning a mixed-use development featuring up to 50,000 square feet of retail space and a residential component spanning up to 750,000 square feet, accommodating up to 680 dwelling units. The initial phase includes approximately 84 dwelling units and a 23,000-square-foot grocery store, with additional development slated for the future.
