Chef Ninja’s Zuma, a restaurant blending Japanese and Latin cuisines, is set to open its doors in Bethesda.

Chef Ninja, also known as Michu to family and friends, is launching Zuma By Chef Ninja at 4866 Cordell Ave in Bethesda, taking over the former Brickside space. The restaurant is scheduled to open its doors on October 6th.

Michu, nicknamed “Chef Ninja” by his social media followers, hails from the Dominican Republic, where his first-generation Japanese parents settled. His culinary journey began in childhood, assisting his mother in the kitchen and mastering the art of Japanese cuisine. Zuma By Chef Ninja reflects his unique approach, blending Caribbean and traditional Japanese flavors in a Japanese/Latin fusion.

The restaurant’s operational hours are reportedly from 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM Monday through Thursday, 1:00 PM to 3:00 AM on Fridays and Saturdays, and 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM on Sundays. Chef Ninja, also the owner of Sushi Mambo NYC, brings his distinctive culinary flair to the vibrant culinary scene, promising an exciting fusion dining experience.
