Han Spot will soon fill the former Union Jack’s space at Rio

In May, we shared news about the owner of China Garden and Han Palace planning to bring a new restaurant, Han Spot, to Rio Washingtonian Center in Gaithersburg. The restaurant will occupy the former Union Jack’s space. Chris Zhu, the owner, confirmed the news on social media, stating, “Another milestone. New baby from Han Palace coming to Rio Gaithersburg. Next to AMC theater & Guapo’s 🤗🤗🤗.” Han Palace, known for its all-day dim sum menu, offers a variety of dishes, including scallops, shrimp, pork/crab dumplings, rice rolls, barbecue pork buns, lobster sticky rice, Han-style filet mignon, and Peking duck.

While the opening date is yet to be announced, Han Spot will join other Rio restaurants in the inaugural ‘Taste of Rio’ event in October. View the menu from Han Palace, as seen below
