Catalyst Hot Dogs is expanding its presence by opening a concession stand at The Xfinity Center (8500 Paint Branch Dr, College Park) on the University of Maryland campus this season. Originating as a New Jersey-style hot dog food truck/trailer in late 2020, Catalyst Hot Dogs, owned and operated by Chris Van Jura, has been serving its specialties across Montgomery County and the surrounding areas. Earlier this year, the brand took over the kitchen at Denizen’s Brewing Riverdale Park location (4550 Van Buren St., Riverdale Park) in Prince George’s County. Van Jura, with almost 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, decided to venture into the hot dog business, bringing a taste of New Jersey to the DMV region.
