Six Additional Dunkin’ Stores Set to Open in Montgomery County

Dunkin’ has been actively expanding its presence in Montgomery County, with recent openings in Silver Spring and Gaithersburg/Montgomery Village. The Layhill Center in Silver Spring, located at 14328 Layhill Rd, and the Goshen Crossing Shopping Center in Gaithersburg/Montgomery Village, where Dunkin’ has taken over the former Capital One Bank building at 20000 Goshen Rd, are two of the latest locations.

The Dunkin’ expansion in Montgomery County continues with six more locations in the works:

  1. Dunkin’ is set to occupy 1,500 SF in the back half of the building previously housing Capital One Bank at 9761 Traville Gateway Drive in Rockville. This location, with a projected opening in late 2023/early 2024, will feature a drive-thru. The front side of the building, comprising 1,700 SF, is also available for lease.
  2. A new Dunkin’ is coming to 2 Wisconsin Circle, the Chevy Chase Metro building in Chevy Chase. It will take over suite 100, formerly occupied by Karin’s Cafe, with electronic ordering boards and a walk-up window for customer convenience.
  3. Dunkin’ will join the Giant gas station/grocery pick-up center at 8500 Connecticut Avenue for a second location in Chevy Chase. Plans involve converting part of the existing building into a Dunkin’, though without a drive-thru. Opening dates for both Chevy Chase locations are yet to be determined.
  4. A site plan has been submitted for Dunkin’ to establish a new location at 17700 Muncaster Rd. in Derwood. The proposed restaurant would occupy 2,500 SF, with no confirmation yet on whether it will include a drive-thru.
  5. Dunkin’ is set to take over the space previously occupied by $2.49 Cleaners at 12196 Georgia Ave. in Wheaton-Glenmont. Renderings suggest the store will feature a drive-thru or at least a walk-up window.
  6. Dunkin’ is planned to move into 8455 Fenton St, occupying an empty retail space on the ground level of the Central Silver Spring apartment complex. Construction has not yet commenced, and an opening timeframe is pending.

These developments showcase Dunkin’s strategic efforts to expand its footprint across various locations in Montgomery County.
