Muoi Tieu Food Truck Expands with New Brick-and-Mortar Spot

Muoi Tieu Vietnamese Restaurant Opens in Takoma Park: Muoi Tieu, a popular Vietnamese food truck based in Takoma Park, has transitioned to a brick-and-mortar location at 7006 Carroll Ave in Takoma Park. The restaurant is now open for business, expanding its menu and introducing new offerings.

Muoi Tieu, which translates to “salt and pepper” in Vietnamese, has not only retained its beloved food truck menu, featuring items like banh mi, summer rolls, and salads but has also introduced an expanded menu with comfort dishes inspired by Chef Thuy-Tu Tran’s family. New additions include bun (rice noodle bowls), banh xeo (sizzling crepes), bot chien (fried rice cakes), and more.

The restaurant’s concept goes beyond traditional dining, incorporating a small market section within the establishment. This market offers a variety of Asian pantry items, condiments, snacks, dried goods, and prepared items such as meal kits, pickled vegetables, and sauces.

In addition to its diverse food offerings, Muoi Tieu now serves beer and wine, enhancing the overall dining experience. The expansion from a food truck to a brick-and-mortar establishment allows Muoi Tieu to provide customers with an enriched culinary experience, bringing Vietnamese flavors and culture to the Takoma Park community.
