Our Neighborhood Deli, expected to open in late September or early October, is bringing the authentic taste of a classic New York deli to 240 Main St. in Gaithersburg.
Owned by a husband-and-wife team who moved to the area three years ago, the deli aims to fill the void they felt after leaving their native New York.
The menu will offer a wide array of choices, including create-your-own salads, freshly made sandwiches, NY-style hot dogs, breakfast sandwiches, and knishes. Customers can also enjoy freshly baked hero bread, authentic New York bagels, and a selection of sweet treats like muffins, cookies, cake slices, and soft-serve ice cream. Adding a unique twist to the deli’s offerings, Jamaican patties with cocoa bread will also be available.
The deli is located in the former space of Kentlands Nutrition, which served the community for the past 15 years.
