Baja Fresh Reopens for Online and Carryout Orders After Storefront Collision

On Monday afternoon, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) swiftly responded to a concerning incident involving a driver crashing into the front of the recently renovated Baja Fresh in King Farm. Fortunately, Baja Fresh is set to resume operations today, offering online and carry-out orders despite the disruption.

Reports indicate that the crash occurred due to the driver mistakenly accelerating instead of applying the brakes, resulting in the vehicle colliding with the storefront. Thankfully, there were no injuries reported, including to the driver. Upon arrival, MCFRS Assistant Chief David Pazos ensured that relevant authorities, including the Health Department, Code Enforcement, and Building Representatives, were promptly informed of the situation.

Notably, the store had recently undergone significant renovations amounting to $150,000, and it had just reopened after a brief closure last month. This particular Baja Fresh outlet stands as the sole remaining establishment of its kind in Montgomery County, underscoring its significance within the local community.
