Bark Social, the innovative blend of dog park, bar, and coffee shop, which made its debut at Pike & Rose in February 2021, is now expanding with its third Maryland location in the nearby area of Columbia.
Described as “a bar for dog lovers,” Bark Social welcomes humans for free while requiring dogs to either become members or obtain a day pass. The company recently unveiled plans for a sprawling 25,000 square-foot indoor/outdoor space adjacent to Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia.
Similar in size to its Pike & Rose counterpart, the Columbia location promises to offer the same amenities. This includes a 25,000 square foot dog park alongside a climate-controlled clubhouse spanning 2,500 square feet, complemented by a bar, cafe, and gift shop. The dog park boasts an off-leash policy, closely supervised by trained professionals, with a designated area catering to smaller dogs.
As Bark Social continues to develop its Columbia location, further details will be communicated by the company in due course.
