Chiko, the Chinese-Korean fine-casual restaurant located at 7280 Woodmont Avenue in Bethesda, has announced it will permanently close on Sunday, February 2. h/t pike.and.rozay

Known for blending modern cooking techniques with traditional Chinese and Korean flavors, Chiko’s menu features popular dishes such as confit duck fried rice, bulgogi tots, shrimp and toast, and orange-ish chicken.

The restaurant shared the following message on its social media accounts Monday afternoon:

“In January 2021, we opened CHIKO Bethesda under a short-term Covid-era lease. Being a part of this community in Montgomery County for the past four years has been incredibly rewarding. With our lease expiring, we are moving on from this location while also exploring opportunities within the county and beyond. Our last day will be February 2nd, and we look forward to serving you between now and then.

More importantly, if you would like to come by to say farewell to our team, they would love to see you! We notified our staff of the changes earlier in the month and have provided opportunities for them at our various DMV locations. Thank you to the community and all of our wonderful guests for their support over the years, and we hope to see you soon!”

While the Bethesda location is closing, Chiko will continue to operate in Capitol Hill and Dupont in Washington, DC; Shirlington and Cascades in Virginia; and Encinitas, California.

Chiko was recently featured on Eater DC’s list of “Where to Find Fabulous Wings Around D.C.
