Denizens Announces Silver Spring Taproom Will Be Closing Permanently


Denizens has announced the permanent closure of its Silver Spring taproom, with the last day of operation set for Sunday, October 22nd. Co-founder and owner Julie Verrati shared the news via a video posted on social media. The Silver Spring location, which opened at 1115 East-West Highway in 2014, marked the end of its ten-year lease.

Verrati expressed gratitude for the incredible ten years in Silver Spring and the support from the local community. She noted that although this marks the end of a chapter, Denizens will continue to uphold its commitment to delivering the same high-quality beer, service, and food at its Riverdale Park, Maryland location.
