Eddie V’s Prime Seafood is seeking approval to construct a 10,000-square-foot restaurant building at 151 Lakelands Drive, located at the corner of Lakelands Drive and Great Seneca Highway in Gaithersburg.
In a “Statement of Justification” submitted to the City of Gaithersburg, it was noted that “Lakelands, LLC has been approached by the operators of Eddie V’s Prime Seafood dining establishment.” Eddie V’s, a division within the Darden Restaurants portfolio—which includes notable brands such as Capital Grille, Seasons 52, and Olive Garden—currently operates thirty locations nationwide, with the nearest one in Tysons Corner, Virginia.
Upon learning about the unique attributes of the property, including a large surrounding population, easy access from nearby transportation routes, and a desirable water view dining environment, Eddie V’s quickly began planning to bring its signature offerings—seafood, prime steaks, cocktails, and jazz music—to this exceptional setting.
This Final Site Plan Application seeks to increase the size of the restaurant building to take advantage of the vista over Lake Varuna and to organize parking and site circulation in a manner to minimize site disturbance and loss of existing vegetation.”
