Revitalizing Potomac Village: Bagels ‘n Grinds and Modernized Potomac Pizza to Enhance Culinary Landscape
Bagels & Grinds is set to make its mark on Potomac Village, taking over the space at 9812 Falls Road, formerly occupied by The Potomac Village Deli. Owned by Adam and Courtney Greenberg, the same culinary enthusiasts behind Potomac Pizza and the recently acquired Hunter’s Bar and Grill, Bagels ‘n Grinds is anticipated to open its doors in mid-2024. Simultaneously, the Greenbergs have unveiled plans for a renovation of the original Potomac Pizza, including the addition of a full bar and a modernized aesthetic, expected to be completed in the same timeframe.
The arrival of Bagels ‘n Grinds is expected to fill a longstanding need for a convenient grab-and-go breakfast and lunch option in Potomac Village. The menu at Bagels ‘n Grinds boasts a diverse array of nineteen bagel flavors, nine spreads, omelet-style bagel sandwiches, salads, soups, “baginis,” and traditional sandwiches. What sets Bagels ‘n Grinds apart is its commitment to using ultra-purified water in the bagel-making process, mimicking the characteristics of New York City water. The addition of Bagels ‘n Grinds will not only offer authentic New York-style bagels but also provide patrons with a unique water treatment facility viewable to the public.
The renovation of Potomac Pizza aims to modernize the beloved family pizza joint, bringing a contemporary look akin to the College Park location. Andy Goldstein, a long-time Potomac Pizza manager and partner since 2010, will oversee the revitalized Potomac Pizza, introducing a full bar and an expanded menu featuring new Italian dishes exclusive to the Potomac Village location.
With the imminent addition of Bagels ‘n Grinds, the renovation of Potomac Pizza, and the acquisition of Hunter’s Bar and Grill, the Greenbergs are ushering in a transformative era for Potomac’s culinary scene, marking the most significant changes since the inception of Hunter’s Bar and Grill and Potomac Pizza in 1978. Bagels ‘n Grinds Potomac will become the ninth fully-operational restaurant for Adam and Courtney Greenberg, reinforcing their commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences in the community.
