According to a report by MoCo360, customizable gelato bar and pop shop Fantasticks will open its second Maryland location in Downtown Silver Spring the weekend of July 13.
The new dessert spot will occupy the space at 915 Ellsworth Dr., previously home to Starbucks until the end of March. Fantasticks already has a location at Rio Lakefront, which opened in 2021, and previously operated within Manhattan Pizza in Frederick, which has since closed. Additionally, they have two locations in Virginia, at One Loudoun and Clarendon.
Fantasticks offers a unique experience where customers can choose their toppings, cover their ice cream bar in chocolate, and add a drizzle. They also offer gelato in a cup with customizable toppings.
