In this article we take a look back at the upcoming restaurants that have created the most buzz on our website and associated social media accounts in the last few months. Today we’re going to highlight the five (in no particular order) that have generated the most buzz in the last few months in terms of views, likes, and shares:
Chido’s Tex-Mex Grill (Downtown Silver Spring): Chido’s has signed on to take over the space that was recently home to The Eleanor at 931 Ellsworth Dr. in Downtown Silver Spring. The restaurant has wrapped the windows with coming soon signage as it prepares for a late spring opening. A Taste MoCo post sharing a popular drink at an existing location has been viewed over 1.1 million times on Instagram.
“New Paul Kee” (Wheaton): Paul Kee Restaurant, a Wheaton staple offering Hong Kong and Cantonese cuisine, closed temporarily a couple months back. The restaurant will be returning soon, as “New Paul Kee” will be opening in the space at 11305 Georgia Ave., Suite B.
Peter Chang (Gaithersburg): Construction is ongoing at the upcoming Peter Chang at 637 N Frederick Ave in Gaithersburg. The restaurant is taking over the space previously occupied by Ichiban Restaurant.
Silver and Sons BBQ (Bethesda): Almost two years ago, Chef Jarrad Silver launched his food truck, Silver and Sons BBQ, in the parking lot of Captains Market at 7607 Macarthur Boulevard in Bethesda, Maryland on March 12. Now he plans to open his first brick and mortar location in Westbard Square, Regency Centers’ reboot of the Westwood Shopping Center in Bethesda.
Chopt (Olney): Chopt is “coming soon” to 18123 Town Center Dr in Olney. It will be taking over the space that was previously occupied by Moss Chiropractic in the Fair Hill Shopping Center. The made-to-order salad chain has additional Montgomery County locations in Bethesda, Gaithersburg, Potomac, and Rockville.
