Get a First Look at the “Speakeasy That Will Transport You to the 1920’s… If You Can Find the Hidden Entrance”: Fallen Oak Distilling Company Set to Open in Olney, MD on November 2nd

The owners of Lone Oak Farm Brewing Company are excited to expand Lone Oak’s legacy with the launch of Fallen Oak Distilling, located on the brewery’s property at 5000 Olney Laytonsville Road. This new addition includes a 1920s-inspired speakeasy designed to transport visitors back in time.

Fallen Oak is a 21-and-over distillery offering a premium selection of spirits, including Bourbon, Maple Bourbon, Vodka, Rye, and, coming soon, Gin. These small-batch, craft spirits are crafted to deliver bold flavors and smooth finishes for those with refined tastes.

Named in homage to the brewery’s iconic Oak tree, Fallen Oak Distilling features state-of-the-art equipment and an atmosphere that embodies the dedication Lone Oak Farm Brewing Company is known for. Similar to Lone Oak’s beers, the distillery’s spirits are crafted from corn and barley grown on the farm.

“We’re excited to introduce Fallen Oak to our community, which has supported us from the beginning,” said Ralph Mollet, co-owner of Lone Oak Farm and Fallen Oak Distilling. “From the Tasting Room and heated porch to the private dining area overlooking the stills, expansive lawn, and loft space known as The Perch, the distillery provides a beautiful setting and an elevated menu of food and drinks. And for those up for the challenge, the Speakeasy is a hidden gem – if you can find the entrance!”

Fallen Oak will celebrate its Grand Opening this Saturday at noon, offering a complimentary tasting. During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the owners will plant a sapling grafted from the original Lone Oak tree, which fell in April 2023, symbolizing the continuation of its legacy. From field to glass, Fallen Oak Distilling aims to deliver the region’s finest spirits. Follow @fallenoakdistilling on Instagram for updates.
