Duck Duck Goose, the Bethesda fine-dining establishment, has closed its doors, making way for a new concept called Good Ducking Burger. According to owner/operator Ashish Alfred, the closure was prompted by the expiration of the lease at 7929 Norfolk Ave. Alfred cited challenges in negotiating with the landlord regarding necessary repairs to plumbing and the roof, which resulted in early closures on some nights.
Good Ducking Burger was piloted in this space, receiving positive feedback. While Duck Duck Goose has closed, Alfred expressed plans to open a new Good Ducking Burger location in Montgomery County. He is actively searching for new spaces to bring this concept to fruition. Duck Duck Goose was known for its fast-casual American burger offerings with an Indian twist, featuring classics like burgers, chicken, and fries with a nod to Alfred’s Indian heritage.
