Last December, we shared the news that Nash & Smash, a restaurant serving Nashville hot chicken sandwiches, fried chicken, smash burgers, and more, would be coming soon to Montgomery County. While construction began in the spring and permanent signage went up in early summer, the opening has faced some delays.
Nash & Smash has apologized for the setback, citing unexpected challenges with their contractor. “We are committed to bringing our restaurant to life and are currently planning to open before the end of December,” the restaurant shared.
Located at 10121 Colesville Rd in the Woodmoor Shopping Center, Nash & Smash will be the first of its kind in Montgomery County. The restaurant is taking over the space previously occupied by Subway, situated between Bento and Woodmoor Cleaners. The Virginia-based restaurant group has already opened locations in Northern Virginia and Maryland. Notably, the restaurant’s menu will be halal.
