The Kentlands location of MOD Pizza, a nationwide fast-casual pizza chain boasting over 500 outlets, has recently closed its doors at 145 Commerce Square Place. This closure was confirmed by the Rockville branch, which disclosed that it has acquired some equipment from the now-defunct Kentlands site.
Additionally, it has been announced that MOD Pizza’s Downtown Silver Spring establishment, previously located at 909 Ellsworth Dr Suite B106, will not be reopening. The decision to permanently close this location was made following plumbing issues last summer, despite initial plans to resume operations.
However, amidst these closures, MOD’s store at 12021 Rockville Pike, situated within the Montrose Crossing shopping center, remains in operation. Spanning 3,134 square feet and sharing a strip with other eateries like Cava, RASA, HoneyGrow, and Five Guys, this location continues to serve patrons.
MOD Pizza, known for its “Made on Demand” approach, offers individual, customizable pizzas crafted with organic dough made from King Arthur Flour. Customers have the freedom to select their preferred ingredients, with the option to watch the preparation process. Although the restaurant provides recommended combinations, patrons are encouraged to create their own. Pizzas are swiftly cooked in just three minutes using stone ovens set at a scorching 800 °F.
