Kong Dog, renowned for its delectable Korean corn dogs, is gearing up to unveil its second establishment in Montgomery County, Gaithersburg, following the success of its inaugural venture in the Glenmont shopping center.
Set to occupy 12141 Darnestown Rd at the Shops at Potomac Valley shopping center, Kong Dog steps into the space formerly occupied by Neal’s Bagels—a beloved fixture that relocated to the Kentlands neighborhood last summer. With its expansion strategy in full swing, Kong Dog is making waves nationwide, with upcoming locations slated for Georgetown and Arlington.
The restaurant’s website offers a glimpse into its diverse menu, showcasing an array of inventive corn dog combinations. From churro kong dogs to rainbow kong dogs featuring Fruity Pebbles or similar toppings, along with ramen kong dogs, Kong Dog promises a culinary adventure like no other.
Given the swift construction timeline witnessed at the Glenmont location, there’s speculation that the Gaithersburg outpost could open its doors as early as this summer. However, an official opening date has yet to be confirmed. Stay tuned for more updates as Kong Dog prepares to delight patrons with its innovative take on a beloved classic.
