Kura Revolving Sushi is gearing up for an exciting debut at 12266 Rockville Pike in Federal Plaza, set to open later this year. They are taking over part of the space previously occupied by Chuy’s and Ruby Tuesday, with Torchy’s Tacos occupying the other part.
During a recent visit on Wednesday, ongoing construction was observed along with the installation of permanent signage at the restaurant. Kura Revolving Sushi Bar promises an engaging dining experience dubbed “ultimate eater-tainment,” featuring a unique conveyor belt system showcasing authentic Japanese cuisine. The dining area will include a revolving sushi bar where patrons can select from a variety of sushi plates circulating around, as well as an express belt for tableside delivery of orders placed via tablets. Their extensive menu of over 140 items includes sushi, udon, ramen, hot and cold sides, and desserts.
Guests can anticipate additional entertainment with fun prizes awarded for every 15 sushi plates consumed, and soft beverages delivered by Kur-B the KuraBot.
The 3,325 square-foot restaurant will be the first Kura Revolving Sushi Bar location in Maryland and the third in the DMV. The restaurant has been projected to open in summer 2024, timing subject to change. We have not received any updates regarding the opening timeframe. Exterior progress photo and full menu below:
