Ledo Pizza has expanded its presence in Montgomery County with the opening of a new Corner Shoppe at Giant Food, located at 1280 East West Hwy, Silver Spring, MD 20910. This location is serviced by the Ledo Pizza at 7435 Georgia Avenue in NW DC.
Ledo Pizza introduced its first Montgomery County Corner Shoppe in Olney last year, followed by additional openings at the Orchard Center, the Burtonsville Giant, Giant in White Oak, Kentlands Giant in Gaithersburg, and Giant on Rockville Pike.
Before expanding into Montgomery County, Ledo Pizza launched its first “Ledo Pizza Corner Shoppe” inside a Giant Food store at 1649 Crofton Center in Crofton, MD (Anne Arundel County) this past summer. The “Corner Shoppe” concept offers both take-and-bake pizzas, allowing customers to bring home a frozen pizza to bake later, and hot pizzas ready straight from the oven.
Ledo Pizza started near The University of Maryland in 1955 with its first location on University Boulevard. Since 1955, Ledo Pizza has grown substantially from just one location to over one hundred locations throughout Maryland, D.C., Virginia, South Carolina, West Virginia, and Florida. Ledo Pizza is one of the pioneers of what some call “Maryland Style Pizza.”
