Little Miner Taco Delays Opening of Rockville Location

Little Miner Taco at 39 Maryland Ave Ste A in Rockville Town Square has announced a delay in its opening due to permitting issues. The opening, originally scheduled for Thursday, July 18, 2024, has been postponed.

Per Little Miner: “Thank you for your excitement and patience as we get ready for our grand opening in Rockville. We’ve hit a snag with permit delays! We will not be opening July 18. Stay tuned for updates! We can’t wait to see you!!”

Little Miner Taco’s menu features Mexican street food, but they are perhaps best known for their Birria De Res Queso tacos, which include braised beef and plenty of cheese, served with consome for dipping. In an interview with Streetcar Suburbs News, Owner Kathy Voss stated that “the key to the homemade flavors at Little Miner is the fresh ingredients and especially the from-scratch cooking of their experienced culinary team, led by executive chef Joel Sánchez.” Regarding their food, she added, “How do we come up with great Mexican cuisine? We hired great Mexican chefs.”

Little Miner also has locations in Brentwood (Prince George’s County), NoMa (DC), and operates a food truck with a changing schedule. They previously had a location inside The Block at Pike & Rose.
