Little Miner Taco Expanding to Rockville Town Square: Little Miner Taco, a popular Mexican street food restaurant, is set to expand its presence to Rockville Town Square. Known for its locations in Brentwood (Prince George’s County), NoMa (DC), and Pike & Rose (inside The Block), along with a food truck with a changing schedule, Little Miner Taco is now in the early stages of establishing its new space in Rockville.
The recently signed agreement marks a new chapter for Little Miner Taco, with construction expected to commence in the near future. The Pike & Rose location, situated inside The Block, will continue its normal operations during this expansion.
Little Miner Taco is acclaimed for its Mexican street food offerings, with a standout item being the Birria De Res Quesadillas. These quesadillas feature braised beef, generous cheese portions, and come with consomé for dipping. In an interview with Streetcar Suburbs News, owner Kathy Voss attributed the restaurant’s success to fresh ingredients and the from-scratch cooking of their experienced culinary team, led by executive chef Joel Sánchez.
The culinary team at Little Miner Taco, primarily composed of skilled Mexican chefs, is central to the restaurant’s commitment to delivering authentic and flavorful Mexican cuisine. The addition of Little Miner Taco to Rockville Town Square is anticipated to further diversify the dining options in the area. While an exact opening timeframe is yet to be disclosed, the expansion is a positive development for Rappaport, the commercial real estate company managing leasing for Rockville Town Square. Additionally, Kusshi Sushi has also recently signed on for an upcoming location in the square.
