M&N’s Pizza, located at 4914 Del Ray Ave in Bethesda, has secured the impressive position of #82 on Yelp’s Top 100 US Restaurants of 2024 list.
This renowned establishment is celebrated for its unique “Whacky Pizzas,” featuring inventive flavors like Spicy Chicken Curry, Thai, and Kadhai Paneer.
Owner Manoj Mehta shares his journey, having been born and raised in India before moving to the USA in 2001. Settling in the DC area in 2004, he met his wife, Nazaneen, a refugee from Afghanistan who arrived in the USA with her family in 1988.
M&N’s Pizza was founded in Bethesda in 2006, initially offering regular fare such as pizzas, subs, and salads. In response to customer demand, they introduced a small line of curries in 2008. The fusion of curries and pizzas began in 2011, with popular choices like Spicy Chicken Curry and vegetarian Kadhai Paneer becoming best-sellers in the Non-veg and Veg categories. The menu now boasts 30 fusion pizzas representing 8 different countries, with more innovations on the horizon.
Nazaneen, passionate about crafting delightful food, personally prepares all the sauces and curries used on the pizzas. The Mehtas express their gratitude to their customers, whose unwavering support has propelled M&N’s Pizza to its current success.
