A pizza shop in Montgomery County, MD has garnered recognition by making it onto Eater DC’s “5 New Pizza Places to Know About Around D.C.” list. AP Pizza Shop, situated at 4747 Bethesda Ave. in Downtown Bethesda, opened its doors on January 31st and stood as the sole Maryland representative on the list.
AP Pizza joined forces with Aventino earlier in the winter, both establishments helmed by MoCo resident Chef Mike Friedman from Olney. Serving as the Bethesda extension of Friedman’s All-Purpose Pizzeria, which currently operates two locations in D.C., AP Pizza Shop brings a slice of culinary excellence to Maryland.
At AP Pizza Shop, patrons can indulge in “Jersey-style, deck-oven pies,” complemented by a morning offering of Italian coffee and pastries. For lunchtime cravings, the menu expands to include paninis, salads, and slices, while dinner options encompass a wider variety of pizzas to satisfy any palate.
