With the College Football Playoff coming to a close and the NFL Playoffs just kicking off, Eater DC recently compiled a list of the ‘Best Sports Bars in DC.’ While many locals have their go-to spots, only one Maryland establishment made the cut—Sports & Social at Pike & Rose.
Sports & Social, located at 11800 Grand Park Ave. in North Bethesda’s Pike & Rose development, opened its doors in August 2021. The venue describes itself as a “premier dining, entertainment, sports viewing, and social concept” found in prominent entertainment districts, top casino resorts, and near major sports stadiums across the country.
In September 2023, Sports & Social made history by becoming Montgomery County’s first licensed sportsbook and the 12th in Maryland to receive state approval. Eater writes that the “Pike & Rose complex upped its sports bar game in recent years with the arrival a game day headquarters. The 8,000-square-foot bar with an 18-foot LED display in the middle broadcasts multiple games at once, with on-site entertainment (Skee-ball, foosball, arcade games and Beirut) and a dog-friendly patio.”
