Moby Dick House of Kabob has recently joined the roster of tenants for the revitalized Burtonsville Crossing shopping center. This new addition will be alongside the first Sprouts grocery store in Montgomery County, set to open by the end of the year. Moby Dick House of Kabob will be in the company of other establishments, including Domain Fitness & Performance, an upcoming TJ Maxx store, ULTA Beauty, and Creative Outlets Arts Center, which recently announced its relocation from Montgomery Mall.
This Persian kabob restaurant chain, originating from its Bethesda location in 1989, is expanding with its 27th restaurant overall and 8th in Montgomery County. While the 7th MoCo location is set to open in North Bethesda soon, Moby Dick House of Kabob’s presence at Burtonsville Crossing is anticipated to enrich the local culinary scene with its authentic Persian cuisine infused with a Mediterranean touch. Although an exact opening date is not yet specified, it is expected to take place sometime in 2024. Furthermore, EDENS, the property developer, is set to receive a $3.5 million grant to enhance the Burtonsville Crossing shopping center. This funding, approved by the State Board of Public Works in August, aligns with the community’s envisioned improvements for the space, as advocated by the District 14 Legislative Delegation.
