MOD Pizza, located at 909 Ellsworth Dr Suite B106 in Silver Spring, will not be reopening its doors, as reported by Source of the Spring. The decision comes after the restaurant closed temporarily during the summer due to plumbing issues.
A popular fast-casual pizza chain, MOD Pizza boasts over 500 locations nationwide, with Montgomery County already hosting outlets in Gaithersburg and Rockville.
The name “MOD” in the company’s moniker stands for “Made on Demand.” Renowned for its customizable pizzas, MOD Pizza offers individual pies crafted with organic dough made from King Arthur Flour. Customers have the liberty to choose their preferred ingredients, witnessing the preparation process firsthand, although the restaurant also provides recommended combinations. Pizzas are swiftly cooked in just three minutes using stone ovens set at a scorching 800°F.
