Back in December, we shared news about Nash & Smash, an upcoming eatery specializing in Nashville hot chicken sandwiches, fried chicken, smash burgers, and more, soon to grace MoCo. While construction hasn’t commenced yet, the restaurant is slated to open its doors at 10121 Colesville Rd in the Woodmoor Shopping Center.
This Virginia-based restaurant group has recently expanded its footprint, debuting locations in Ellicott City and Laurel, Maryland, as well as Manassas, Herndon, and Ashburn, Virginia. Set to occupy the space formerly housing Subway, nestled between Bento and Woodmoor Cleaners, Nash & Smash has emphasized its commitment to offering halal options.
In its quest to establish a presence in the DC Metro area, Nash & Smash has scouted various locations across DC, Maryland, and Virginia over the past year, as reported by commercial real estate company Rappaport. Describing the restaurant’s ethos, Rappaport notes, “Nash & Smash keeps the menu simple: Nashville-style fried chicken sandwiches and smash-burgers along with creative sides and drinks. What makes this concept extra special is the use of locally sourced, high-quality ingredients, making Nash & Smash a true farm-to-table dining experience.”
