Dunkin’ is set to occupy the space previously held by $2.49 Cleaners at 12196 Georgia Ave. in Wheaton-Glenmont, situated on the same block as Trippy’s Tacos and Seafood in the Buff and in close proximity to Popeyes. Although an opening timeframe for the store has not been announced, indications from renderings in the featured photo suggest that the establishment will feature a drive-thru, or at least a walk-up window.
Montgomery County has been a focal point for Dunkin’s recent expansion efforts, marked by the addition of new locations at the Layhill Center (14328 Layhill Rd) in Silver Spring and the Goshen Crossing Shopping Center in Gaithersburg/Montgomery Village. Notably, Dunkin’ has repurposed the former Capital One Bank building at 20000 Goshen Rd for its presence in the latter location. As of last December, Dunkin’ has been actively pursuing extensive expansion plans nationwide and within Montgomery County, with an additional four locations in progress and the anticipation of more to follow.
