Nothing Bundt Cakes Set to Open New Location in Rockville

Nothing Bundt Cakes is set to open at Edmonton Crossing, as confirmed by Paraclete Realty. The new location will take over the former Sun’s Carpet and Floors space at 1032 Rockville Pike, situated between Uptown Cheapskate and Angkor Nails and Spa.

Established in Las Vegas in 1997, Nothing Bundt Cakes has grown to over 600 locations across the U.S. and Canada, including Montgomery County spots in Bethesda, Gaithersburg, Germantown, and Silver Spring. The Germantown bakery, located at 20650 Seneca Meadows Pkwy, is the latest MoCo addition, having opened in March.

Now headquartered in Dallas, the company has become the nation’s largest specialty cake chain. It was recently recognized as Yelp’s 2024 No. 26 Fastest Growing Brand and ranked No. 84 in the 2024 Technomic Top 500 Chain Restaurant Report.

In 2023, Nothing Bundt Cakes opened 84 new bakeries, with its 600th location marking the 41st new site in 2024. The brand aims to continue its rapid growth, with more locations in development as it expands into new and existing markets.

“With the great desire guests have to show care and kindness to their loved ones and colleagues, coupled with the rising trend of Gen Z enjoying ‘little sweet treats’ and the snackification of the American diet, Nothing Bundt Cakes is growing faster than ever,” said Nothing Bundt Cakes CEO Dolf Berle. “We have been able to drive the business forward by elevating celebratory occasions and leveraging the ‘treat yourself’ trend – something our cakes have been doing since we opened our first bakery more than 25 years ago.”
