Kura Revolving Sushi is set to make its debut at 12266 Rockville Pike in Federal Plaza, taking over part of the space previously occupied by Chuy’s and Ruby Tuesday. Torchy’s Tacos will also occupy a section of the space.
Offering an “ultimate eater-tainment” experience, Kura Revolving Sushi Bar presents authentic Japanese cuisine through a conveyor belt system, engaging patrons with prizes, drink delivery robots, and more. The restaurant features a revolving sushi bar carrying a diverse array of sushi plates, while an express belt delivers orders tableside based on selections made via the ordering tablet. The menu includes sushi, udon, ramen, hot and cold sides, and desserts. Guests can receive prizes for every 15 sushi plates and enjoy soft beverages delivered by Kur-B the KuraBot.
Projected to open in summer 2024 (timing subject to change), this 3,325 square-foot establishment marks Kura Revolving Sushi Bar’s first location in Maryland and the second in the DMV (Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia) region. It joins other recently opened or upcoming Federal Plaza merchants, including DMV Iron Gym and Mimi’s Handmade Ice Cream.
Kura Sushi USA, Inc., the parent company, is a Japanese restaurant concept with over 50 locations across 15 states and Washington D.C. For more information, visit https://kurasushi.com or follow them on social media.
