Starting October 9, McDonald’s is introducing Mambo Sauce to its menu for a limited time. Also known as Mumbo sauce, it is a sweet, sour, and spicy condiment originating from Washington, DC, and popular in Montgomery County eateries like Kenny’s Sub Shop. Described by McDonald’s as a “tomato-based, sweet, spicy and vinegary sauce,” inspired by the regional D.C. area staple, it adds a local flavor to the menu. Alongside, the fast-food giant is introducing a Sweet & Spicy Jam Sauce, a breakfast-inspired dipping sauce with a Szechuan peppercorn kick and heat from cayenne pepper. This addition showcases McDonald’s commitment to offering diverse and unique flavors to its customers.
