Earlier this summer, we reported that Pelicana Chicken would be taking over the space previously occupied by Woodside Deli at 4 N Washington Street in Rockville, according to Federal Realty. Woodside Deli closed its doors in the summer of 2022 after 12 years in Rockville’s Courthouse Center.
This will mark Pelicana Chicken’s first Maryland location, joining its nearby restaurants in Annandale and Sterling, VA. The restaurant has announced that it is currently hiring and anticipates an opening in early January 2025.
Per the restaurant: Pelicana Chicken was established in 1982 in Daejeon, South Korea. Since its inception, Pelicana has expanded to over 3000 stores and continues to grow aggressively abroad. Pelicana Chicken’s success is attributed to its variety of delicious sauces, chicken selections, and fresh ingredients.
