Permit Granted for New Smoothie King Location

This past summer, we shared the news that Smoothie King signed on to open a new location at 20630 Seneca Meadows Parkway, part of the Shops at Seneca Meadows development (where Wegmans is located) in Germantown. A permit valued at $200,000 has now been issued to commence construction on the interior.

Smoothie King will occupy part of the space previously home to DaMarco The Italian Place, with F45 Training taking over the other portion. Permanent signage has been in place since the summer, and we anticipate an opening in late 2024 or early 2025. Currently, Smoothie King has locations in Bethesda, two in Rockville, and one in Olney, which opened just last summer.

Since taking the helm, owner/CEO Wan Kim has led efforts to transform the brand’s menu from one laden with sugar and artificial flavors to a health-conscious option filled with whole fruits and organic, non-GMO ingredients. The primary focus is to give Smoothie King guests the ability to customize smoothies according to their preferences while promoting a healthier, active lifestyle.
