Poke Bros, which opened its first Maryland location in Gaithersburg’s Kentlands neighborhood at 107 Market St W last November, has permanently closed after just over a year in business.
The restaurant, which took over the space previously occupied by Next Day Blinds, is listed as “permanently closed” on Google. Staff began removing contents from the location on Wednesday, December 18th.
Poke Bros was born after the founders discovered the Hawaiian poke bowl concept during a trip to California. Inspired by the fast, casual, and healthy nature of the dish, they sought to bring it to the Midwest. Confident that foodies in Columbus would embrace the concept, they focused on creating an affordable and accessible product for a larger market. Through research and trial and error, the founders developed their own unique poke bowl flavors, and aimed to offer a fun, assembly-line dining experience.
As the poke movement gained traction, Poke Bros expanded rapidly across multiple states in the Midwest and East Coast, continuing to offer fresh, authentic cuisine. Despite the closure of the Kentlands location, the brand remains committed to offering only the freshest ingredients that nourish without slowing you down.
