Raku Reopens Following a 23-Week Closure for Remodeling

Raku, a well-known sushi spot, has reopened after approximately 23 weeks of closure due to a remodeling project. The restaurant recently shared a message on its website ahead of the reopening:

“It’s been 23 weeks since we last saw you. It’s taken 3 times longer than our original plan. Finally, we are days away from reopening! Thank you to the Bethesda community and all of you, who’ve given us support for the past 27 years. We hope to see you in our newly remodeled space.”

Raku initially closed its Bethesda location on March 4th for what was intended to be a two-month renovation. Since its opening in 1996, Raku has been a popular destination for sushi lovers in the area. In addition to the Bethesda location, Raku also operates a location at Cathedral Heights in NW DC, along with Rakuya in NW DC, and Rakugaki in Bethesda.
