San Pancho, a San Francisco Mission-Style Burrito Shop, Opening Soon

A “Mission-style” burrito is a type of burrito that first rose to prominence in the 1960s in the Mission District of San Francisco, California. This burrito stands out due to its large size and the inclusion of rice along with various other ingredients. Its popularity spread nationwide when major chains like Chipotle and Qdoba began offering their own versions.

Carolina McCandless, who hails from Takoma Park, has strong local connections. Her parents own Amano, a nearby store known for its unique and affordable women’s clothing, jewelry, accessories, and shoes.

Recently, the restaurant hosted a contest on its Instagram page, giving followers a chance to attend its upcoming soft opening. We will provide updates once the official opening date is announced.
