EggMania is set to make its mark at 385 Muddy Branch Rd, taking over the space that was formerly occupied by Curry Place, adjacent to Indian Bazaar in Gaithersburg. The restaurant, marked by its distinctive permanent signage, focuses on egg-centric Indian street food offerings. The menu includes delights such as masala omelet, egg curry, and Goti Fry, featuring sliced boiled eggs cooked with ginger, garlic, chili, and topped with American cheese in an onion-tomato-based gravy. EggMania, with existing franchises in several states, is expanding its presence across the U.S. The restaurant underwent a hearing for a beer/wine/liquor license with the Montgomery County ABS in July.
It’s important to note that EggMania aims to dispel the misconception that it is exclusively a breakfast place. The restaurant clarifies that in Indian street food culture, egg-based dishes are commonly served for lunch and dinner, offering a full menu beyond just breakfast items. While no specific opening date has been announced, EggMania looks forward to serving the community and introducing its delicious food options to MoCo residents and beyond.
