Empress Coffee & Cocktails has officially opened its doors at 325 Main Street in Gaithersburg. This new establishment has taken over the space previously occupied by Brew House Kentlands, which closed after just over a year in operation. Before that, the location was home to Clear Skies Meadery, which has since relocated to 15201 Display Ct in Rockville.
Owned by long-time Montgomery County residents Sam and Tara, Empress Coffee & Cocktails is the realization of their shared dream. Both are photographers who desired a cozy space to edit their photos. After an extensive search across the county, Sam found the perfect spot at 325 Main St. Tara, an experienced baker, prepares all the pastries offered at the shop. The deli meats are sliced in-house, and their breakfast sandwiches are made to order.
Currently, the menu includes coffee, breakfast sandwiches, pastries, sandwiches, Persian pizza, beer, wine, and more. Cocktails will be added soon, pending a few necessary licenses.
